vista-codec-package-504 CODEC have always been a pain in the butt. This package is improving all the big name creators, several small guys too, and compiles all in one pack. All conflicts are already dealt with, many users suggested default settings are implemented.

This package does not contain a media player. This package is not associated files. With this package installed, you’ll be able to use all media to play DVDs, movies and video clips such as QuickTime, RealMedia, AVI, MPEG, FLV, SWF, WMV, etc. Streaming video can be played in the Web browsers. By default, you should not have to make any adjustments to enjoy playback immediately.
